Biography

Delores Churchill has been a Haida spruce-root and cedar-bark basket weaver for nearly 35 years. She trained under her mother, the renowned weaver Selina Peratrovich. Delores is a veteran workshop and basketry education presenter, and demonstrates weaving at museums worldwide. Delores was honored with a National Heritage Fellowship Award in 2006 and was a participant in the 2006 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
